| PARTNERSHIPS: STRATEGIC ALIGNMENTS OFFERING COMPREHENSIVE SOLUTIONS Eco Partnerships Partnerships make sense for everyone involved. Being in an eco partnership means a promise of green strategies that can be shared – and a commitment to environmentally friendly and green products. Partnerships mean that there is less work for only one party to do – and that both parties can benefit from the pairing. Much of the business world is built upon partnerships, and it is true that having a good partner can mean you have a lot less to do – have a lot more benefits that you can take advantage of – and even that you are able to share ideas with people who have the same general outlook on life that you do and that share your company's philosophies. However, an eco partnership is a little bit different, because in order to have a true eco partnership, you must be able to be sure that both sides of the partnership are following important eco principles, and doing things that benefit both companies and also benefit the earth as a whole. Before entering into eco partnerships, examine the eco philosophies of the companies that you might want to get involved with. You should choose companies and people for eco partnerships that have the same philosophies as you do. This will help you ensure that you are both working towards the same ultimate goals. Remember, also, that eco partnerships are all about give and take. In order to have successful eco partnerships, you must be able to give something as well as benefit from the partner that you have chosen. For instance, having an eco partnership with a nearby company might mean that you work together with them to create a car pool or ride share program. Both companies are benefiting form the program, and both companies are gaining, as well as helping the world and the environment at the same time. This is a true eco partnership. Eco partnerships can also help you get a hold of green products. If a company would like you to use their cloth bags in exchange for the advertising that is on the bag, you are benefiting by providing your employees and your customers with reusable bags. The other company is also benefiting from the advertising. No matter what you decide to do for your eco-partnerships, you will find that as long as you have ideas and philosophies that are similar, having eco partnerships can be the best thing for you, your company, and the environment as a whole.
